Kristin Antin is a creative, hard-working, service-oriented resident of this beautiful town of Meredith. She is the mother of a second-grader at DA, and wife to a local business owner. She is passionate about strengthening our community ties, and improving communication between local government and residents.

Kristin has lived in Meredith for 12 years, moving here when her husband accepted a job at SUNY Oneonta.  She received her BA from University of Colorado and received her Masters Degree in human rights from the University of Essex in the UK. She’s worked for non profit human rights organizations and has traveled throughout the world. Currently, she’s the Community Engagement Manager for NGO-ISAC, an organization that assists US based non profits in strengthening cyber security.  In her spare time, Kristin runs a PTA sponsored after school club at DA called Girls Who Code.

Throughout her career, Kristin has worked to strengthen communities-of-practice within the human rights and technology fields, harnessing the power of peer-to-peer knowledge exchange. Kristin has held a number of leadership positions during her career. She has experience managing budgets, teams, programs, projects, and grants.

If elected, Kristin would use these skills to strengthen community ties in Meredith, improve communication between town government and residents, and contribute to the overall management of town business. She would like to explore using technology to improve access to information for all residents, as well as using low-tech approaches for improving communication regarding local initiatives.

Kristin is inspired to be more involved in local government because of the strong, passionate women who are making so much positive impact locally, including: Jessi Raber, Maya Boukai, Janet Tweed, Michele Frazier, and Amy Randall.
