Seasoned Meredith Dems Vie for Council Seats

Rachel Polens and John Janiszewski are seeking re-election to the Meredith Town Council on November 7.  Rachel hopes to win a second 4 year term and John, a third.

rachelRachel brings grit and gumption to her role on the Council.  As the sole proprietor of a successful small business, Rachel knows how to manage money, deal with the public and get information to help her make  good decisions.   On the Town Council, she’s done the heavy lifting, spending hours of her time doing research to present to the Council.  She’s successfully advocated for a road use law to protect the Town’s roads and shepherded through the recent adoption of a law to provide a greater property tax exemption to the Town’s veterans.

JohnJohn, who’s been a Town resident since the age of 2, is our  “man for all seasons”.   He started out in dairy farming, raised deer, beef, potatoes and tilapia.  He taught Agricultural Science at NCOC BOCES and is currently operating an organic fertilizer business and raises organic hay and beef.  An innovator and inventor, John is open to new ideas but is always looking at the practical side.. the cost vs the benefit to the Town’s tax payers.  John excels as a mediator and often finds the “sweet spot” of compromise to get things accomplished.

Rachel and John bring a winning combination of talents to serve the Town of Meredith.   Get out and vote for them on NOVEMBER 7.
